Some months ago when the 6chooner Awarua returned fco the BlaC from a cruise in Bass Straits the customs authorities seized the sea'skins on board, and refused fco give them up until a satisfactory explanation had been given as to whore they had been obtained. A statutory declaration was made and the embargo on skins removed, but Mr Hatch was required to pay expenses. This he did, bufc under protest. The money was refunded to-day. ANOTHER USE FOR RABBITS.
