Giseorxk, Thursday. The harbour poll, so far shows a return of 590 votes* for proceeding with the works, representing in value £815,000. According to the Act the proposal has to bo carried both in number and value. There is a majority in value of £115,000, and in number of 128, so that the proposal is carried, and the construction of the harbour workß will prpoeed immediately, Only one return has ye;b to comes in, The greatest enthusiasm h felt at the result.
