OTHER COLONIAL GOVERNORS.

It is reported that Sir W. Hart-Dyke Vice-President of the Committee of Council in the present Government, is certain to be selected for one of the colonial Governorships about to become vacant. Sir Terence O'Brien, Governor of Heligoland, will succeed Sir A. H. Blake as Governor of Newfoundland. Mr A. C. S. Barkly, Chief Civil Commissioner of the Seychelles Island, auc ceeds Sir Terence O'Brien at Heligoland. The Hon. W. T. Haynes Smith, C.M.G., Attorney-General of British Guiana, has been appointed Governor of the Leeward Islands.
