Donedin, this day. Criticising Sir Julius Vogel-'s projects, th e " Star " says :—Sir Julius does not go quite so far at present as to advocate the election of Governors. The Governors appointed by the Crown should be experienced and m« tellectual, so as not to be dwarfed, we suppose, by such premiers as wo have naa m Now Zealand. Perhaps, however, the hon. gentleman has personal aspirations whicn extend beyond the premiership in ™taT?* Inconsistent as such aspirations manifestly are with his new fledged principles, should, however, the chance occur, "crrcitastanoea " would no doubt be ..unci to a.ter C-.SQS.
