Tho barque Star of the East" is rapidly filling up with kauri gum for New York, and fs expected to geb away to sea about Tuesday next.

Last night the Northern Co.'a s.s. Katikati, a small steamer of 56 ttras, arrived from Wbangarei. The Katika'd has been running as tender to the s.s. Wellington I'rora Whangarei Heads, Parua Bay, etc.

As soon as the barque Excelsior has completed discharging her cargo of raw sugar at the Sugar Company's Wharf at Chelsea, she proceeds to Whangaroa, there to load timber for Sydney. "*

At an early hour this morning, the brigantine Ada C. Owen got away on her trip to Rarotonga, with one passenger, Mr A. Codding'ion, and afralleargOj particulars of which were given in our yesterday's issue.

This morning the Danish barque Johann ißrodersen was towed into the Auckland Graving Deck, where a surrey of the vessel "will be^made to ascertain whether it will be .•necessary for her to undergo repairs before proceeding on ths voyage to England. Last evening the s.s. Wellington arrived from Whangarei with cargo and the following passengers :—Messrs Henry, Blake, BeWi, Rooten, Massey, Goodley, Harrison, McLeod, Wilson, Richardson, McGregor, Jones, Tucker, O'Neill, McPike, Wait, Thwaites, Campbell, Jackson, Laiog, ißuchanan, Cullen, McDonald, Foster, Carter, Solomon, Barker, O'Brien, Mr and IVlrs McMillan, Mesdames Jackson, Cox, Davis, Gerring, Misses Peace, Simpson, Pai, and 3 steerage.

About 4.30 this morning the s.s. Clansman arrived from Russell, Whangaroa and Mangomri, with the following passengers : , j\] rs Harris' and children, Mrs J)avis, Miss Brown, Messrs May, McDonald, J. Derry, Jarvis, Brooks, W. Brown, Captain Phillips, Messrs S. Yates, Roberts, Carson, W. A. Gardiner, Bunkall, ' Goodman, Stoney. ■ Key. Mr Burrows, Mr A. Morton, and 2 steerage. The Clansman also brought the following cargo: —595 sacks gum, 38 bales wool, 4 cases gum, 5 casks oil, 3 tons sundries, and 2 horsss.
