AUCKLAND YACHT CLUE.

The annual meeting of the Auckland Yacht Club was held in the club-room Waiteraata Hotel, last evening, when there was a large attendance of members, Mr A. Buchanan, Vice - Commodore, presiding. The report of last season was read by the Secretary, Mr W. Lincl, and proved highly satisfactory, the season having been a most successful one. The report was adopted unanimously, and consideration of the accounts was deferred, owing to the absence of the treasurer, Officers" for the ensuing season were elected as follows-.—Commo-dore, Mr J. Waymouth 3 vice-commodore, Mr A, Buchanan ; secretary, Mr W. Lind ; treasurer, Mr G, Cozens; committee, Messrs C. Gibbs, J. Wiseman, F. Cramond, R. S.- Reynolds, 0. B. Waymouth, J. Kinsey, F. J. Sanderson, E. Mace, J. Duder. The annual subscriptions were fixed at £1 Is for members, and 10s 6d for honorary members. Mr I. Wiseman moved the resolution of which he had given notice, to the effect that the handicapping for all tho races of the club be entrusted to a committee of five instead of two as heretofore. After some discussion the^ resolution was adopted- It was decided to open the season with the usual manosuyres on the 9th November, the yachts afterwards to proceed to Home Bay, Motutapu, where a picnic would be held, to. which all honorary members would be invited. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Featherstone for the great service he had rendered the club last season with his steam yacht Nautilus, and a similiar compliment to the Chairman closed the meeting. .
