OLD COLONIST DIED.

Helensville, this day. John Gardner, senior, died at Glorit, Komokoriki, yesterday, aged 81. He was born in Glasgow in- 1808, and arrived in this colony in 1860.' Mr Gardner was the .owner of a large farm at Komokoriki, and was widely known and respected. ne leaves a widow, two sons, and _15 IP***children residing on the farm. Two weens previous to. hi. death he was a strong, anq, lor his age, an active old man.
