The weather for the inberproviricial foobball match, Otago v. Southland, waa glorious, although a trifle too warm for the game.: A puffy nothwester was also blowing athwart the ground. The match waß looked upon aa a bui-q thing for the vioi: tors, and five to one was offered on Otago. Neither scbredi but Southland had de* cidedly the besb of tho game, Obago being forced down 10 times to the local team's 3.
