The half-yearly competition for'the handsome trophy presented by Mr Condon, took place at Mount Eden Rifle Range on Saturday last under the supervision of Captain Cooper, 'when Corporal Skinaer, for the third time in succession, proved the winner. Thei highesfcscorer was Sergeant Fairs, who ■ made 12 in spice of the very rough weather. He, however, loses the trophy by points for attendance gained on him by Corporal Skinner/ The ranges were 200, 300, and 500 yards, 7 shots at each.
