PAPAKURA.
SUPPOSED FATAL ACCIDENT.

Papakura, this day. Considerable uneasiness is felt here for the safety of a man named Robert Cossy, who has been missing from the district since last Wednesday. It is believed that Cossy went to his work on Wednesday morning with another man named Patrick Coyle, leaving his horse at the mill as usual. Cossy chtl not return in the evening, and upon search beino- made his hoise was found standing in the same place. Mr Bates and ofchers being alarmed at the non-appearance of Cossy informed Mr Couthard, who with a number ot the mill hands searched the neighbourhood for several hours, and finding no trace of the missing man returned to the village. The timber jack used by Cossy is also missino- and it is feared that he has been caught" by a heavy log and carried into the creek. ;
