ASSUMPTION ISL AND VOLCANO.

The Hawaiian barque Lillian, which arrived ab Hongkong on March 23rd from Honolulu, reports that on March 7th she passed within a mile of Assumption and LJraces islands and noticed smoke coming out on bhe norbh side of Assumption and lava running inbo bhe sea. Capbain Duncan also states he passed within a mile of where Douglas island is supposed to be, bub could nob sco ib, and he does not believe it exists.
