The Tenth Ordinary Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will bo held at 3 p.m. TO-MOR-ROW (Wednesday), in the Chamber of Commerce Room, Lambton Quay, Wellington, Business: To receive and adopt the Directors' Report and Balance-sheet. To elect two Directors. Those retiring by rotation are Messrs E. W. Mills and Jacob Joseph, who offer themselves for re-election. To elect two Auditors, and to fix the amount of their remuneration. The following resolutions will be proposed— "That the Articles of Association be amended, by adding the following new clause, as No. 6a:—'No person shall, after May 31, 1888, be allowed to subscribe for, or acquire by purchase or otherwise, or hold at any one time, more than 3,000 shares in the Company; but no person who, on May 31, 1888, held more than 3,000 shares, shall be hereby compelled to reduco the number of such shares by sale or otherwise.'" , "Thatin the proposed new clause in me Articles of Association, No. 6a, 2,000 shares be inserted instead of 3,000 shares." "That the Articles of Association be amended by adding the following words to clause No. 18:—' But no shareholder shall have more than eighty-two votes.'" Should the resolutions by passed by the required majority, they will be submitted for confirmation, as special resolutions, to a second meeting, which, in the absence of the proper notice, will be held on May 30,1888, at the same time and place.
