YVainui: For Auckland—-2,205 bunches bananas, 37 hides, 35 sacks cocoanuts, 11 baskets pines, 6 sacks wool, 25 cases pines, 72 cases oranges, 11 packages sundries. For Sydney—2,l6s packages. For Southern ports—2,49o packages. Per s.s. Omapere : 595 tons G^eymouth coal.
The cutter Mercury is to get away for Queensland during the day.
The scow Una left this morning for Ngangum, where she is to load with timber for Normanton.
The brigantiiie Zephyr is loading up with timber at the Auckland Timber Company's yards. The steamer Wellington and Stormbird left Whantcarei for Auckland ab 10 o'clook to-day.
The Admiral Nakhimoff, the most powerful cruiser in the Russian navy, is to bo despatched to the Pacific shortly.
Mr W. Douglas, shipbroker of Sydney,has fixed the barque Loongana to load coal at Newcastle for Auckland, witlia back freight limber from Whangaroa to Sydney.
In spite of the utmost efforts made by the agents, the steamer Worcester is not yet ready for clearing. It is expected that she ■will get away during the night for jSTapier.
The W. C. Wentworth managed to get out of the harbour yesterday morning, and sailed for Hokianga, where she is to load timber for Sydney.
The s.s. Omapere arrived from Greymouth with a cargo of coal yesterday afternoon. She left Greymouth on the 9th, and experienced strong N.E. winds and moderate seas throughout her passage.
The Victorian Pilot Board have found that they cannot hold an inquiry into the recent narrowly-averted collision between the steamers Oceana and Casino, no collision having occurred.
The s.s. Clansman arrived from Tauranga at 8 o'clock last evening. She did not leave Tauranga until 7 o'clock yesterday morning, owing to the bad state of the weather. Her passengers were Messrs Solomon, Brabant, Louch, and one native.
The demand for Australian coals at Frisco Still continues active, the high prices still beino- maintained notwithstanding the numerous engagements. Wallsend and Greta, spot, are quoted at §12.50 to $13 per ton; April-May stalling §11, and the later loading, §10 to §10.25 per ton.
The s.s. Australia arrived from the East Coast ports yesterday morning with cargo and the following passengers : — Misses Bowerman and Smith, Messrs T. Henderson and Legros. Mr Bendall, the purser, reports that the Australia left Wellingbon on the Bth at 3 p.m., called at Napier, Gisborne, Tologa Bay, and Oreti Point, and arrived alongside wharf at daybreak yesterday, having experienced strong N.E. winds across Bay of Plenty.
