Paeroa, this day.
Good headway is now being made with | the work of conveying the Waihi Company's machinery from here to mine. The stone breaker, weighing Sibout 5 tons, was landed at its destination to-day, and when the road repairs now in progress are compiete .no difficulty will be experienced in transporting the heaviest pieces of machinery belonging to the consignment. At the Martha Company's battery, Waihi, 20 head of stampers are now running full time in the reduction of tributers' crushing dirt, and although the stuff is low grade it is shaping fox a remunerative return. Dunedin, this day. The Roxburgh claims are at a standstill owing to the high state of the river. The sale of Blue Spur claims has been definitely made, though a strong feeling exists against, including tailings. The claims' paid up capital will be £15,000 less in consequence.
