The Secretary informed the meeting that arrangements had been made through Mr T. Porter for seven native canoes with full crews of men and women to take part in the two Maori canoe races. It was suggested that their presence might be utilised in giving a " haka " on the evening of the Regatta, on the Fonsonby Lawn Tennis Ground, and have a promenade concert at the same time, thus helping to pay expenses. Messrs D. Millar and A. H. Jones were appointed a sub-committee to arrange about a suitable vessel for a flagship, and it was resolved that the usual plan of giving tickets for the flagship to subscribers of a certain amount to the funds of the Club should be adhered to.

The monthly manoeuvres of the Yacht Club are to take place to-morrow afternoon, when there no doubt will be a large muster of yachts to perform the evolutions. The Auckland 11.C. intend holding trial fours on the 21st instant, and entries aro to be received to-morrow afternoon. It is anticipated that there will be eight crews competing. The North Shore Rowing Club intend having a set of club matches at an early date for trophies. Good entries have been received, and it is anticipated that there will be some good racing. The Waitemata Boating Club hold trial fives to-morrow afternoon at 2.30. and great interest is being taken in them. Four or five crews have been out training daily for some time past. These crews will be picked just previous to the race and will be captained by the members of the champion race. Athletics. A meeting of the committee of the Amateur Athletic and 'Cycle Club is to be held this evening to pass accounts, settle the night for the distribution of prizes and arrange other business. No doubt the committee will then consider the question of holding another meeting at the end of the cricket season, late in April or early in May. A correspondent writes to us on the subject and we commend what he says to the committee for their consideration. The first of the annual meetings of football clubs will be held this evening, when the Grafton F.C. meet to elect officers, etc. The members assemble in the Club-room, Imperial Hotel. Football.
