Betting on the Newmarket Handicap- is very brisk. Lord Allen has been supported firmly in consequence of good gallop. He has been backed for £11000. The run on Mozart has continued at ten to one plenty of money being forthcoming. Pomona, My Lord, and Spade Guinea have been backed for £5000 each, and Torpedo for £8000. Mitrailleuse is easier, and Yellow Jacket has receded to 100 to 5. The Cup is neglected. There are no backers of Moorhouse, bub 7 and 8 to 1 is wanted about Enfilade.
