A French 'gentleman of repute, who wag, travelling through here to-day, requested, the railway officials to point out the locality: of the coal mines and other objects of inter-: est. A difficulty arose, however, as the! Frenchman could not speak English nor* the guards French. The officials say that) j they will have to go in for foreign lan-- ■ guages.
