THE MIDLAND RAILWAY.

Wellington, this day. The first section of the Midland Railway from Brunnerton to Kokiri station, near Lake Brunner, eight miles in length, i s ready for traffic, and the manager has applied to have it formally inspected by the Government.
The first meeting of Henry William Francis's creditors lapsed to-day for want of a quorum.
