NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT MEETING

[OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

Wanganui, this day. I UNDERSTAND from Captain Somerville that he has received a large number of designs for the 'new champion belt, but up to the present no decision has been arrived at as to which is to be chosen. The date of the Oamaru meeting is definitely fixed for 29th February, and with 30 targets Captain Somerville says it should be got through in a week. A proposal will be made ay the Council to allot an extra £100 for competition * aniong, those who do not get into the second stage, and if this is agreed to, another match will be added to the programme. Nothing definite has been heard yet from Oamaro as to the site chosen ton the rMgp.
