VALUE OF MIDLAND RAILWAY LANDS.

Grkymouth, this day., TftE sawmilling industry is making rapid strides in this district, and land along the railway purchased years ago for a few shil lings, is now yielding from seven to nine pounds per acre for royalty on the timber cut up on it. One piece of silverpine bush used for sleepers is paying over £20 an acre to the owner.
