AUCKLAND YACHT CLUB.
A special general meeting of the Auckland Yacht Club was held last night at the rooms of Mi , Levinsohn, Queen-street Wharf. There was a fair attendance, Mr R. S. Reynolds being in the chair. The following officers were nominated:—Commodore, Mr C. B. Stone ; Vice-Commodom Mr H. E. Whitaker; Treasurer, Mr 'G. Cozens,; Secretary, Mr C. O. Dacre ;, auditors, Messrs T. Henderson and J. B. Graham ; measurers, Messrs (}, Goldio and G>. Niccol.; Committee of Management, Messrs A. R. Gibbs, Reynolds, Phillipson, Wiseman, and Gamble; handicapper, Mr H. Parker. It was decided that the Club should open the season with a cruise on the 9th of November, and that the Hauraki Club be asked to join in the cruise The place of rendezvous was fixed for Home Bay, Motutapu, and the yachts are to make a start from the Railway Wharf at 9 o'clock on the morning of that day, Invitation wa-s given to all non-yacht owning members of the Club to take part in the day's outing. It was resolved that the Secretary write to the Hauraki Yacht Club, asking them to appoint a deputation to meet the Club at the annual meeting on Friday next, for the purpose of: arranging a series of cruises for the coming season and to consider the advisability of amalgamating in all matters pertaining to the furtherance of yachting in Auckland. At the annual meeting on Friday the .officers of the Club and new members are to be elected. A vote of thanks to the chairman broughb the meeting to a close,
