Thames Jockey Club.
The Thames Jockey Club's race meeting takes place at Parawai on the 26th and 27th December next, when £500 will be given away in stakes. The following are the events :—First day : Trial Stakes of 30sovs, I mile ; Hurdle Race of 50sovs, 2 miles; Thames Plate Handicap of 70sovs, 1. mile; Pony Eaco of lOsovs; Selling P.ace of 30sovs, 1$ mile; Stewards' Handicap of 45sovs., -I mile.—Second day :—Tradesmen's Handicap of 40sovs, 1 mile; Novel Race of SOsovs, 1 mile; Steeplechase of 75sovs, _*_ miles; Goldfields Handicap of 80sovs, If mile; Maori Hack Race of lOsovs; Free Handicap of 30sovs, 1 mile. ■
