Manx Rack, 80yds, under 13. —Ist, Haven and James ; 2nd, Francis and Makgill. Handicap Flat Rack, 100 yds, eight entries. — Ist, Dean; 2nd, McLeod; 3rd, Heany. Time, 10 3-sth seconds. Handicap Hobdle Rack, 120yda, 4 entries (under 15). —Ist, Martin (4yds); 2nd, Buddie (scratch);,3rd, S. Francis (3yds). Timo, 19 4-sth seconds. Handicap Flat Race (final heat), 100 yds. (Over 16.)—1st, Myers; 2nd, Phillips; 3rd, McLeod.

Handicap Flat Race (final heat), 100 yds. {Under 16.)—1st, Martin; 2nd, Try; 3rd, Biss.

Challenge Flat Race, 150yds.—1st, Barnett; 2nd, Dean.

Pole Jump.—This was one of the exciting contests of the day* Only three competitors came forward (Messrs La Trobe, Dean, and T. Schnackenberg). The latter was tho first to fall out, and then ensued a keen contest between Dean and La Trobe. The latter had tho advantage from tho fact that in crossing the bar he turned, whereas Dean shot right over, and consquently whon he had reached seven feeb the heaviest portion of his body touched the cross bar, and compelled him to retire. La Trobe, knowing his own capabilities, continued raising the bar until it began to be a question to get men tall enough to raise it. At length, when the top peg had been cleared, the cross bar waß put on the top of tho posts, when Mr La Trobe retired. His last jump was 7ft 8-^in. Handicap Flat Race, 1 mile, 13 entries, Ist, Robb (30yds); 2nd, Atkins (35yds); 3rd, Makgill (scratch). Time, 5 minutes. Handicap Hurdle Hack, Old Boys, 120 yds, 3 entries.—lst, Lusk (3yds); 2nd, Batger (4yds); 3rd, Owen (scratch). This was*an exciting race. It ended in a dead heat between Owen and Lusk. The competitors decided to run it off at once. Another exciting run resulted and gave the victory to Lusk by only a few inches. The men cleared nearly all the hurdles together. Tho first run was done in 15 4-sth seconds* The try off was done in l-sth of a second less. School Cop (final heat), 220 yds, 10 entries. —Ist, Myers (9yds), by 13points; 2nd, Phillips (3yds), by 10 points. Time, 25sec. and a fifth. This was a fine race, and both the competitors were pretty well done up. Handicap Flat Race, under 12, 100 yds, eight entries.—lst, W. Sloman (3yds); 2nd, J. Francis (2yds); 3rd, Connell (scratch). Francis led all the way till near the finish, when the people crowding in caused him to swerve a little, and resulted in letting Sloman gain the advantage. Handicap Flat Race (Old Boys), 440 yds. Messrs Dixon, Green, and Lusk competed. The latter'won easily, Dixon (10yds) coming second, and Green (15yds) third. Lusk was scratch. Tinio, 56 seconds. ' Walking Match, one mile, ten entries. -xlst, Makgill (scratch); 2nd, C. Phillips (20yds); 3rd, Robb (70yds). The winner finished well ahead. . Handicap Flat Race, open, 440 yds, 7 entries.—lst, Heany, (scratch); 2nd, Wilson (scratch); 3rd, Baker (15yds). Time, 56 4-sth seconds.
