NORTH SHORE ROWING CLUB.

The annual meeting of the North Shore Rowing Club was held last evening in the club-room, Masonic Hotel, and was well attended, Mr E. W. Burgess (captain of the club) in the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. They were as follows : — In presenting the 13th annual report tho Committee have again to congratulate the Club ontheir successduring thepast season, and trust that the coming season may be even a more successful one for the Club. The prizes won by the representatives of the Club were: Second for champion whaleboats and first for amateur whaleboats at the Auckland Regatta, whaleboats and gigs at Onehunga Regatta, champion whaleboats at Thames Regatta, skiff race Tauranga Regatta, senior, and junior whaleboats and gigs, and senior whaleboats at Rowing Association Regatta. A practice and racing whaleboat were added to the Club property during the past season, and the Committee hopes to be able to still further add to the number of boats during the coming season. In January last Mr James Sims tendered his resignation as Hon. Secretary of the Club in consequence of his leaving the district; the Committee desire to express their appreciation of the many services rendered . the Club by Mr Sims, and regret that the Club should lose the services of so energetic a member. A dressing room in connection with the Club shed is much needed, and the sanction of the Habour Board has been obtained for the purpose of extending the shed in order to afford the required accommodation. From the Treasurer's statement it will-be seen thab the receipts of the Club last season amounted to £124 13s, and the expenditure was £124 13s, so that the club starts this season with no funds in hand and with liabilities amounting to £10 2s. The Committee have therefore to recommend that a special effort be made to pay the accounts owing and to provide a dressing room. The Clnb property, is in good condition and is valued at £230.
