The Missionary Schooner Dayspring.
The missionary schooner Dayspring, Captain George Braithwaite, arrived in Sydney yesterday from a cruise extending over five months among the mission stations in the New Hebrides! The vessel is last from Ancibyum, whence she sailed on the lsb inst. Captain Braithwaite reports that the natives of Tanna were at war when he called off the island, and as far as he could learn, six had been killed and a number wounded on one side. The mission work in tho group was proceeding satisfactorily when the schooner left the islands. The annual meeting of the missionaries was hold at Aneityum'on May 28, and most encouraging reports were received from all quarters. Captain Eyre and the crew, nine all told, of the schooner Cairnhu, which, ib will be remembered, was totally wrecked at Malo in June lasb^ whilst on a voyage in connection with tho mission work, have arrived by the Dayspring.
