About four months ago the owners of the Mammoth Mine entrusted the floating of their property to Mr McCandlish, who left for London immediately afterwards, i Since then he has cabled to his principals here that a syndicate of English capitalists were willing to expend £5,000 in prospecting the mine before completing its purchase in terms of agreement. Within the last few days this offer has been confirmed by letter, and the owners have cabled a reply accepting the terms offered by tho syndicate, so that we may expect to see active prospecting operations in full swing in that mine very soon,
