mammoth Prospecting
Operations.

Paeroa, this day. About four months ago the owners of the Mammoth Mine entrusted the floating of their property to Mr McCandlish, who left for London immediately afterwards, i Since then he has cabled to his principals here that a syndicate of English capitalists were willing to expend £5,000 in prospecting the mine before completing its purchase in terms of agreement. Within the last few days this offer has been confirmed by letter, and the owners have cabled a reply accepting the terms offered by tho syndicate, so that we may expect to see active prospecting operations in full swing in that mine very soon,
