IMPORTS.
Ex Wairarapa: 23 cases tobacco, 6's.— W. S. Whitley.
The s.s. Suva sailed yesterday evening for East. Coast ports and Wellington with cargo and passengers.
' The p.s. Wairarapa left Russell at 6 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here this morning, bringing as passengers Misses Moody (2). The brigaiatine Stanley was berthed at the Railway Wharf this morning, and commenced discharging cargo.
The schooner Gaiiloise Bailed at, 9 o'clock this morning, bound for Tahiti, with a still' but fair breeze behind her.
The 5.3. Oreti has undergone a thorough overhaul while laid up at Onelmnga, and to-morrow will resume running to Hokianga, Kaweroa and "Whangape.
The ship Crusader discharged the last of her Auckland-cargo yesterday. She will leave for Napier about the end of the week, with part original cargo from London, and after completing her discharge there she will load up for London.
The Jubilee S. C. are making all arrangements for putting the Bellinger on the Waitara trade at once. Mr Daniels, late captain of the Macgregor, has been appointed chief officer, while Mr Duncan, late chief engineer of the Macgregor, goes as second engineer.
Thes.s. Mawhera, 543 tons, Captain H. E. Hill, arrived from Tauranga at 4 a. m. to-day. Passengers : Miss Waifce, Mr Waite, Master Waite, Professor Herbert, Messrs Drake and Gray. Cargo : 255 tons produce. She left Oaniavu 20th inst., Tirnavu 21st, Lyttelton noon 22nd. Airived at 6 a.m. on 24th. sailed at 6 p.m. Arrived at Gisborne 5 a.m., 2.'3 th ; sailed at 6 p.m., arriving at Tauranga 3 p.m., 26th. Left Tauraiiga 1 p.m., 27th, arriving in port as above. Experienced variable winds with fine weuther throughout the passage.
