Mason was charged with having, on tie' 11th August last, ' feloniously and knowingly, by a certain pretence, praT- a cheque signed by Charles iWden, for the sum of £6 on the Union Bak of Australasia, to William Charles Sc-vstating that the cheque was right, Aifo'he-wished it was for £20, obtain- % fen-William Charles Soar the sum cf £s_a6d in money, and a pair of boots nM at 7s 6d.—Prisoner asked for a lanand'titil to-morrow, when another case ia to be beard against him.—The applicatic_wasgrant_d. hmma Lakgitage. — Margaret Lyon ma charged with having, on the 19th September, 1887, at Riverhead, used towards Frances Berry insulting language too indeceati for publication.—There was no appearance of either prosecutor or defendant. -Sergeant Pratt expressed doubt as to Aether the summons had been served at Hebsville, and the Bench decided to *pini the case for two days.
