Considerable indignation is felt here at the apparent remissness of the Adelaide authorities in permitting the escape of the Rev. Mr Radcliffe, the clergyi lan who absconded thither en loute for England, leaving numerous unpaid bills here. His debts here amount to nearly £500. The creditors are making inquiries with a view of pursuing him to England.

the performance of the Amateur Opera Company last night, Judge Wilson presented Alfred Wade, of Whangarei, with a certificate of the Royal _ Humane Society of Australasia for his plucky conduct Avhen a bull chased his father in November last. Mr Wade, senr., who was severely hurt at ono time, and not expected to live, is now recovering, and can walk about a little bit, but has been injured for life.
