Intellgent Testa
The Principal of the College of Science and Arts, Glasgow, Prof. Jamison, A.M., Inst. C.E , F.R.S.E., writes :—" Five weeks asro I got from you a Waterbury Watch, and having been previously annoyed by my lever watch stopping and keeping bad time whenever I went near dynamo machines, I inserted the Waterbury Watch between the magnetic poles of a ten horsepower dynamo. Of course the watch instantly stopped, but on being started again I regulated it only twice within two days, and have found that for one whole month it did not vary two minutes from correct Greenwich time. I now prefer it to my former and-much more expensive watch, and consider it an excellent timekeeper."

"Gentlepien, — I have great pleasure in bearing-testimony to the exceptionally good qualities of the Waterbury Watch. For the last few weeks I have carried one of these Watches, and am now thoroughly convinced of its value as a reliable timekeeper. It is not a mere toy, as the price would seem to indicate, but a strong, durable article. As a proof of this I may state that a day or two ago I was out riding, when my horso took fright and threw me heavily against the saddle, which came in contact with the ' Waterbury' in my pocket. The violence of the concussion would have broken an ordinary gold or silver watch, and of course I expected to find it smashed, but was surprised to find it had not sustained any derangement whatever. I can with confidence recommend it to all requiring a strong, accurate watch for a little money. "Youra faithfully, " WALTER DENGATE."
" I have carried a ' Waterbury ' for the last three weeks, and have compared it with other timepieces with the most satisfactory results. It has kept excellent time. In fact, had I given four or five pounds for an ordinary silver watch, it could not have been more accurate. In appearance it is all that can be desired, and any one ignorant of its Oost might mistake it for an article costing 10 times as much. J. would advise all those in search of a cheap, strong timekeeper to purchase a Waterbury Watch.

"Gentlemen,—Allow me to take this opportunity of expressing'my admiration for the excellence of this simple and inexpensive watch. It keeps hetter time than a silver watch in our house, which cost seven times as much. Each of my boys cariy one of these watches witli great satisfaction. — Yours very truly,
«' WM. B. DWIGHT, *' Professor of. Natural History, '' ".Vassar College."
