FATAL MINING ACCIDENT.

Invercargill, this day. T. H. Escott, who received internal in juries through falling over the face of a claim at Orepuki, died in Riverton Hospital yesterday. The deceased was an old army man, and had seen service at the Cape under Sir George Whitmore.
