POLICE COURT—THIS DAY.
(Before Mr Baddeley, Assistant R.M.) Sabbath Soakers. — Robert Cenderon, William Dent, George Thomson, James Austin, and Michael Sheehan, were each fined 5s and costs, or 24 hours' hard labour for having been drunk. Donald McKinnon, Kate Cummings, and Patrick Sheedy were each fined 20s and costs, or 48 hours' hard labour, for having been twice convicted. John Morgan was fined £2 and costs, or four days in default, for having been thrice convicted. This prisoner said that ho had only been four days in Auckland, and had been already " run in " three times. A, E. Bawtree was further remanded for medical treatment.
Drunk and Disorderly.—Susan Mat. thison pleaded guilty to having been drunk and disorderly, and was fined £3 and costs, or ten days in default. Annie Dunn received a similar sentence for a like offence, with seven additional days for using obscene language. _^
