Attempted Elopement.
The attempt at elopement from Sandhurst by a married musician with a wealthy young lady has been nipped in the bud. The runaways were overtaken by the young lady's irate brother, and he so worked on his sister's feelings that she decided to return home. The brother was only just in time, as the runaways were on board the Zealandia, and on the point of starting for America. The whole party returned to Sandhurst in the same train. The gay Lothario, who was not on speaking terms with his own wife before he departed from Sandhurst, left instructions behind him that.his furniture should be sold. The auction was to have taken place yesterday. The wife, however, managed to effect an entrance into the house, and, by the assistance of relations, barricaded the house so effectually thai, despite the escort of nine guardians of the peace, the auctioneer could not gain entrance. Tho large party of spectators which intended to be present at the sale was amused at the auctioneer's discomfiture.
