THE SAMOAN LAND CLAIMS.
Appeal to the Privy Council Quacked.
The great Samoan land case Manaema and others v. William \Mc Arthur and Co., has, we are informed, been finally settled. It will be remembered that the defendants applied for leave to appeal to the Privy Council against the decision of the High Commissioners' Court in favour of plaintiffs. A private cable mossago received to-day from London runs as follows :—" Appeal utterly quashed, with costs."-
