COROMANDEL MINING.

This day. Royal Oak. —On Saturday the manager brought to the bonk, another 201b specimen stone. After breaking down, gold was left showing in ■ the roof. Some dead work -will be proceeded with during the present week, when- a further haul of picked stono is expected It is reported that the reef has been picked up in the old Union Beach, and that some good gold-bearing stone has been unearthed. This ground was recently pnrchased by an English Company,. and is under the management of Mr Hodge. Several small ;parcels of gold have been lodged in the bank recently from outside claim/ and mining centrally is reviving.
