MrD. F. Evans disposed of a cottage and allotment by auction this morning at hia Mart, Queen-ttreefc. It was situated in Wolfe-street, and only realised about Lsl. Cambria are asked for at 4s, sellers 4s 6d. Specimens are again reported from No. 2 cross leader Saxons are quoted at 2s 3d. Return of gold 172 ozs retorted. Royal Oaks are reported to be looking well, also Alburnias. In the latter case a good deal of gold would be obtainable if the tramway were completed. There are buyers of Bank of New Zealand shares at Lls, sellers Lls 55.. South British are wanted at 265. ' .■-'■. : , •'• ' An adjourned meeting of; the > creditors of W. L. Mitchell is proceeding this afternoon to arrange for the realisation on certain properties connected with the estate. The Sanitary Inspector held another sale of dogs at the kennels to-day. The attendance was not'very large. Eight dogs were "submitted for sale, but only two were sold, and these, were, to gq out of the city. A good Scotch'terrier, notwithstanding the eloquence of the auctioneer was doomed to a.watery grave. Shortly; after, the sale six fresh corpses were laid out to dry, a melancholy testimony to the good work now being done by Mr Gerrard. ' [ ' '■■■'.
