At threo o'clock this afternoon an accident occurred at tho shooting gallery near tho market entrance. A young man named McDonald was in tlio gallery firing a few shots for pastime, when Reid, tho owner, stooped down in front of McDonald to pick up something just as the trigger was being pulled. McDonald gave a warning cry, but it was too late, for tho shot, a small bullot, struck Reid on tho cheek, just below tho eye. He was at once removed to Dr. Tennant's, blood streaming from the wound. Dr. Tonnaut advised his immediate removal to tho Hospital. It is not yet known whether tho wound is dangerous. The accident was witnessed by Mr Mendoza, who statos that no blame is attributable either to McDonald or Reid. Tlio occurrence was a pure inadvortence.
