CORRESPONDENCE.
Valley BfoaU.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Will you permit me to make a few vomarks concerning the disgraceful condition of one of our roads in, I may say, the most delightful suburb of Auckland, viz., Mount Eden. The road I refer to is that of Leamington Road, off Valley Road. This road is about 10<» yo,rds in length, and out of twenty-six allotments there are twenty houses erected thereon, from which rate's are received. After suffering patiently and 1 putfcip.g un, without complaint -the danger of breaking limbs, etc., for the past three years, myself and neighbours do not think it unreasonable to ask the Road Board, not to mrdce tho road by metal; ing and channeling, &c., but simply to lay say 20, or 30 loads of scoria to cover the loose stones and boulde,rs no\f lying about, thus making it passable for pedestrians, as ix\ its present stato it is; not only disgraceful but most clangorous, -rl am, etc.', : A. G. SIIERER.
