TAURANGA REGATTA.

Taukanga, this day. Tub Regatta was held yesterday, and passed off very successfully. The Glenelg was flagship, and was well patronised. The Maori Sailing Race was won by tho Hirai; the 14 feet Open Sailing Boats by Hit or Miss ; the Sculling Mace by the Trident (A. Logan), with the Whitiangi (A. White), second ; tbo Whaleboat Race fell to Motiti; the Skiff Race was won by tho Whitiangi (A. White and Mebull), Logan Bros, were third. Tho Maori War Canoe Race wns won by Mitapihi, Judea second. The winning crow wont through a war dance on the town wharf. The greasy pole was won by Spearman, a ceanian on the Glenelg. The Seahorse Raco wa3 won by W. Home. Half decked Yachts, Vixen, 1 ; Corsair, 2. Ladies' Race, won by Mesdatues Hill and Neighbour. Boyb' Race, won by Walter (native); Gr. Maxwell, 2.
