Thames, this day. Aj. 2.20 yesterday afternoon, flames wero observed issuing from the roof of the "Advertiser " ofpee. The alarm was at once ruined, and in a few minuses the fire brigades were on the spot, arid playing on the roof with water. I'ortunately they succeeded in putting out ho flames before raoto than £10 or £25 damage v/as done. Put for the discovery of the _ir,e in its incipient state, tbe whole of the buildings in this block must have been destroyed.
