Th« service of Eong "Old Christie's Organ," was performed in the lecture hall of the young Men's Christian Association J'oorae last evening with great success. There was a lanro attendance. The adaptability of the hall for such purposes was f»Uy proved, (he accoustic properties being .;.excellent. Tho choir numbered somo thirty Voices undor the conductorship of Mr John Douglas, Miss Kenderdtne assisting as .»'organist. Mr Thomas Buddie read the connective reading?, whilo a new feature -was introduced in the form of oxyhydrogen limelight exhibited by R&v. J. S. Hill. A collection was taken up during the evening and realised £6 '3s 6d. We have sampled a bottle of " Brown's celebrated Boston cream," of which Mr John Buchanan, Customs-street East, has been appointed wholesale agent. It is acknowledged by the faculty as being the most wholesome, delicious, invigorating and refreshing of all beverage?. It can now be obtained at most of the stores in tho city and suburbs, aad as it is non-intoxicat-ing it will soon becomes popular with the public as a beautiful, clear, sparkling, and refreshing summer drink.
