Clogs was bred by Mr G. G. Stead, of Christchurch, and was sold to Mr H Redwood as a yearling for 130 guineas,, who in turn disposed of her to Mr W. T. Raymond, of Otahuhu. It was not until tho Wellington Summer Meeting, when a threo-year-old, that she first aported silk, but hor performances were not of a promising character. Last season they were considerably improved on, defeating Neleon at tho Wellington Spring Meeting, whilo she won the Auckland I aster Handicap, carrying Ost. Hlb, Cinderella (7it 101b) and Wapiti (7st 31b) filling the other places. The ]J mile was run in 3 mm. 9J see. This season she has started but once, fioifhing eeoond to Turquoise in tho Princoof Wales' Handicap. Clogs has run on two or threo oocaaions like a stayer, nnd as Bho possessor no end of breeding, it ia certain she possesses an outside show.
