IflVEiicAitGiLL, this day. James Macdonald, a baker, ag(d66, living at Lurnaden, attempted suicide lost night by taking strychnine. He was found in convulsiena by the landlord of the hotel where he waß stopping, and quite stiff. Salt and water were administered aa an emetic. This morning he was .so far reeovored as to bo able to ccine by train to the Hospital. Macdonald took an overdose, and will probably get better. He says he is sorry he did not use a razor. The cause of the act is family troubles.
