At 10 o'clock last evening the 24 hours' eweep stakes walking match, for the champiotship of Auckland commenced in the CUr Hall. The following are tha oompßtitDn|> Jame3 Hendry, A. Hendry, D. K. Ellis is starter and judge, while Mr M. Gallagher, o .tho Imperial Hotel, is stakeholder. Owing to the recent alterations in tho hill, tie tr*ck his b-ecn laid out on the floor instead of the stage. It run* 31 laps to the mile. There was a very fair attendance.
