Cambria.—Tho southern cro?s cut at No. 4 level is in a distance of 193 ft, but no roefs have yet been cut through. Tho country traversed has been of an excellent description of sandstone. The battery will in future, be only kept going at intervals when required.
Caledonian.—The winze on Rickard's hangingwall and footwall leaders is down 78ft., and the crosscut at No. 3 level to meet it will be in the required distance in another 20 feet. It will be nocessary, however, to sink the winzo some depth further. Colors of gold are- seen in the leaders every breaking down. Driving is proceeding on the Young American leador at No 3 level, and colors of gold aro soon in the quartz.
