VOLUNTEER NOTES.

The parade state at the monthly Inspection of No. 2 Battalion of the Auckland Garrison, last night, was as follows :—Victoria Rifles, 20, under Lieutenants Self and Cooper ; City Guards, 40, under Captain Waddel and Lieutenants Dormer and Shomilt; Hobson Kiflos, 44, under Lieutenants Little and Dignan ; Queen's Own, 30, under Captain Keep and Lieutenants Collier and Finlayeoc. The No. 1 Garrison Band were aleo in attendance under Bandmaster Morris. Major Dignan was in command, and after making the usual inspection of the arms and accoatrements, put tho corps through a number of battalion movements. The members of tho "A" Battery are notified in another column that an inspection parade of thn Battery will be he d to-morrow evonlng at 7.3 J o clock shsrp in tho Dri 1-bhod.
