ALLEGED BURGLARY
On tho morning of tho Bth inst., Mrs Hatfield, tho proprietress of a shop in Greyetrcot, discovorod that a quantity of cigars, tobacco, and cigarettes had been stolon from hor promieoß, to which entrance had beon effected during the previous night. Information was conveyed to tho police station, and Detectives Tuohy and Herbert wore put on tho job. Ab a rosult of their investigations, throo youths, respectively named Honry Jonos, Win. Dyor, and John Colley, were arrosted on Saturday afternoon. Upon reaching the station thoy were charged with Droaking and entering the promises of Mrs Hatfiold and stealing therefrom 26 packages cigarettes, 2 boxes cigars, and 31b of tobacco, total value £4. The prisoners were brought up this morning, when Sergeant Pratt said the police would not bo able to got thoir evidenco rendy before Wednesday next. The case was accordingly adjourned till thnt day.
