A Strange Story.
Hkkk is anothor Ruraian legacy case. A rich Russian lady bequeathed 100 roubloe for tho support and comfort of the dearest fuvouritcofallhordogs. Onoof tho servants was appointed as the dog'n guardian co long as it should live, but if the dog should survive ita guardian then tho care and charge should pass to anothor Borvant. The dog is now duad, and, according to the provisions of the will, the servant who had conpcientioup'y fulfilled her duty to the dog for sevoral years comes in for the 400 roubles, tbo interest of which, it appears, had been sufficient to keop the dog in case and comfort. The residuary legatee, ho* ever, has not been permitted to settle down to the enjoyment of the 400 roubles without a challenge. The other servant mentioned, in view of probnbilities or possibilities demanded half the no ley on tho pretence that the will declared that " descendants " of the dog were to share in the bensfit of the !e<?<>cy, find ehe was in possession of a " child:" of the dead dog But (ho uuardian oF (ha bequeathed dog £.var» that her charge died " cbikil sa." So the Russian lawyers and law court* hive Bet to work, and are doing their beet uc t otily ti swallow op tho 400 roubles, but ulso to appropiateto themselves many more roubles from each of tho litigants,
