Duxkdix, this day. Mr lit, Gillifs formerly M.H.R. for Bruco, died to day. Mr Justice Gillies also received a telegram announcing the death of his brother, Mr Robert Gillies. Mr Gillies was a son of Mr Gillie 3, R.M , of Dunedin, and was one of the most highly respected citizens of Otago. At the last general election he was returned for the constituency of Bruce, defeating Mr James McDonald. He eat for one session, and his health giving way, he was ompeiled to resign.
