Flames can bo seen at this hour ascending from the direction of Rotorua. The wind still drives the smoke, etc., towards Tauranga, Mr N. TV Firth has returned to Rotorua to-day
This day, 9 a.m,
Smoke is still ascending over Rotorua. I have not heard of any fresh outbreaks 3ince yesterday afternoon,
